When did tin mining in the Ore Mountains begin?

During a meeting of the ArchaeoTin partners on April 7th and 8th, 2025, in Teplice (CZ), the participants exchanged on new learning regarding the beginning and unfolding of tin mining in the Ore Mountain range. The exchange also addressed suitable scientific methods and the presentation of results during a travelling exhibition that will be inaugurated on November 13, 2025, in Ehrenfriedersdorf. On the second day an excursion to a former fortification in the forests near Krupka took place.
