When did mining start in the Ore Mountains?

The ArchaeoTin projects aims to answer the question about the beginning of first mining activities in the Ore Mountains after archeologists were able to date first excravation activities to the Bronze age. During their kick-off meeting on September 11th and 12th, 2023, in Dresden, the project partners discussed how they will collaborate in answering this exciting question and on the elaboration of an exhibition aiming to present the results of the research to the general public. The programme of the event included an excursion to the site of prehistoric mining activities.
