Study results presented to about 80 participants
Potentials of cross-border vocational training, the extension of an international ticketing system for the border area, events in rural areas along the border between Poland and Saxony, the development potentials in former and active open-cast lignite mining areas, and possible cooperation in the energetic renewal of cities were the themes of studies procured by the different thematic working groups of the project “Together for the Border Area Lower Silesia – Saxony”. About 80 persons attended an event yesterday in Dresden’s Ministry of the Interior where the studies’ final results were presented. The event closed with presentations of the new INTERREG cooperation programme Poland – Saxony 2014-2020 and a number of ideas for new cross-border projects.
