International Conference „Digital Heritage – Economic value, technical trends & applications”
VirtualArch project organized an international conference “Digital Heritage – Economic value, technical trends & applications” on 24-26 September 2019 in Trento, Italy. More than 50 participants from archaeology, technology development and computer sciences discussed how the application of innovative instruments and tools for the promotion of cultural heritage can be advanced and how also economic benefits can be generated.
The meeting was accompanied by a project internal meeting of all international partners, presenting the visualizations of VirtualArch pilot heritages developed. On the last day all project partners and international guests visited the pilot heritage “Civezzano”, here the former medieval silver mining area of Monte Calisio. Strong relations with Czech and German pilot regions were emphasized. The virtual onsite presentation and local access point to Virtual Reality presentation of the pilot site was presented. Interested partners had also the chance do directly visit old but accessible medieval mine works in the vicinity.
