Historical and archaeological workshops in Pieńsk: archaeology brings generations together
On 16.07.2021, the project partners from the project 1000 years of Upper Lusatia – people, towns and cities implemented under the INTERREG Poland – Saxony programme organised a historical and archaeological workshop. The workshop took place in the municipal park (Amphitheatre) in Pieńsk from 10.00 to 17.00. All project partners not only took part but also each prepared a separate stand where selected activities were presented. Among other things, visitors saw the soldier’s uniform from the Napoleonic times and had the opportunity to decorate the ceramics from Bolesławiec with special stamps. The Lead Partner prepared a presentation of 3D models of found objects and examples of three-dimensional scanning. The event was organised by EuReregioKom Pieńsk who offered, among other things, a visit to the photographic exhibition “The Millennium of Peace in Bautzen”, a short concert during the workshop and a joint treasure hunt for the youngest in the city park. A total of more than 80 participants attended the entire event. The youngest participant was 2 years old and the oldest was 85 years old.
